Welcome to Lena and Peter in Tofvehult!
We bought the old Tofvehult Tannery in 1997 after our move from the West coast of Sweden.
Once upon a time Lena’s grandfather Willhelm worked at the historic water station next door.
That is our connection to this wonderful place.
Our Swedish Country Café Tofvehult sits at the bottom of a hill surrounded by an enchanted forest. We offer home baked pies, specialty cakes and our famous Tofvehult sandwiches to be enjoyed with a cup of our freshly ground and brewed coffee.
We created Tofvehult in 1999 with a small “garden-café” in mind. Now, almost ten years later, we not only see thousands of customers step through our doors yearly, but we also accommodate to small conferences and added some cosy cottages for those who wish to extend their stay.
Our cottages are all equipped with bathroom, shower and kitchenette, and the atmosphere is more like a ‘good friends summerhouse’ with its private setting just 100 meters from the shoreline of Ålsjön,
one of the many beautiful natural lakes in our area.
A quiet beach is close to enjoy at lake Toven with a small sand shore great for small kids!
And the historic town of Västervik is only a 20 minutes drive.
By the way, our café is open Wednesday - Sunday between 12 and 5 pm until the end of August.
From August until mid December it´s Friday to Sunday, same time.
